On Saturday and Sunday I met up with my friend Amber who I went to both high school and college with. She and her family live in the beautiful area of San Marcos, a picture perfect spot with vast and snazzy views. They were wonderful hosts!
On Monday I finally made it to the Grand Canyon after a very long drive through deserted desert dark roads the night prior. Well worth it for sure, the pictures certainly won't do it justice.
While there are railings at the vista points, a good portion of the canyon is unprotected and its very easy to see how one could go right over the edge.
