Arches National Park

Tuesday afternoon was spent at Arches National Park, definitely one of the most breathtaking places I've been to as of yet. Its very accessible once you travel through the remote highways. The main road through the park is only 18 miles, all paved and very well marked. There are several off-shoots taking you to various hiking trails and rock formations too.
'Balanced Rock' is one of the main stops and it is indeed just that, a very large balanced rock...people were gathered around it as though it was a rare zoo animal, I observed from afar.
'Tunnel Arch' was the first hike I did.
I've been around a lot of sand these past few weeks and sandstone is by far the most fine, almost takes on a liquid-like quality and it felt like confectionery sugar.
Snow in the distance but it was toasty here.
